DIRECTOR Gayle Burrow

Ms. Gayle is now in her 35th year as a professional dance teacher.  A graduate of Texas Christian University, certification was achieved to teach dance by both physical and written exam.  Ms. Gayle was an original member of the TCU "Showgirls" dance team.  She also founded and developed the Pleasant Grove High School Showstopper Drill Team in the early 80's.  Ms. Gayle received her Masters Degree from TAMU-T.  Ms. Gayle is a Board Member of Texarkana Community Ballet and past-president.  Civic clubs include the Jr. League (sustainer), Women for the Arts, TRAHC, and Komen Race for the Cure.  She has also served as President of the local Chi Omega Alumni Society, Parents Club President at St. James Day School, Board Member at St. James Day School, and enjoys volunteer work at Watersprings Ranch with the girls dance team.  Ms. Gayle has been married to H.T. Burrow for 34 years and they have two children - Trey Burrow, currently living in Houston and practicing anesthesiology; and Ali Burrow, a student at TAMU-T and a full time dance instructor at ASDC.

INSTRUCTOR Kristi Robinson

Ms. Kristi was the owner and director of “The Danz Gallery”-a dance studio in Texarkana, AR from 1997-2001.  She has been teaching ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical and hip-hop for over 15 years; a graduate of University of Arkansas at Little Rock with a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communication and Dance; a Head Instructor for five years with the National Cheerleading Association’s Dance Division; an instructor for many local Drill Team Camps/Clinics with the American Drill Team School; choreographer for two award-winning competition dance teams.

INSTRUCTOR Lou Walls

Ms. Lou has over thirty years experience in teaching pre-schoolers and young children.  She has been trained exclusively in pre-school and early years dance training.  She is married to David Walls, an area educator and has two children and two grandchildren.

INSTRUCTOR Ali Burrow

Ali Burrow has been dancing for over twenty years.  She has been trained in Classical Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Hip Hop, and Ballroom Dance.  She performed in many local community Ballet productions including her performance as "The Snow Princess" in the Nutcracker.  She is a member of Texarkana Community Ballet and Chi Omega Sorority.   She served as President of Chi Omega at the University of North Texas.  A former Miss Dallas, Ali has also had training at the Kim Dawson Actor's Conservatory, at TCU Ballet Intensive, and at several conventions and seminars.  She is currently a student at TAMU-T and enjoys drawing in her free time.  She has taught at ASDC for several years and now is a full time instructor.
