FIRST YEAR POINT students, you will be measured at Stage Right and given instructions about your shoes and supplies. Ribbons and elastics can be sewn on personally or taken to a professional.
THREE YEAR OLD CLASS: You will be fitted for your special class tutu, shoes, and hose at Stage Right. Please make every attempt to come early as possible that week – your tutus are specially ordered for you and take time to arrive for your special first class!
TAP STUDENTS: We will use the slip on tap shoe, black jazz pants, and the appropriate class leotard.
JAZZ AND LYRICAL STUDENTS: You will wear the appropriate class leotard, hose, black jazz pants and you will need the black slip on jazz shoe and the suntan slip on jazz shoe. Both will be available at Stage Right. The black shoes are for jazz and the tan ones are for lyrical.
GYMNASTICS STUDENTS: You will have a special gymnastics leotard available at Stage Right. You are not required to have any special shoes or hose.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
RECITAL
ASDC will have a two Show recital performance. Both shows will be held at the Perot Theatre on the same day (first Saturday in June) and will be evenly balanced with performances from all of our students.
Show Times will be at 2:00 PM and then at 7:00 PM. No changes will be made in the program, costuming, awards, etc. This Split Show arrangement will promote a shorter (approximately two hour) program that will be more convenient not only for our students and parents, but also for our audiences. We hope to have just as large of an audience for our last performer as we do for our first! Only Tenth Year and above students might expect to perform in both shows. All other classes will be evenly placed in one show or the other. You will perform all of your numbers (example – Ballet, Tap, and Jazz) in either the 2:00 or 7:00 Show.
Each show will have a short Awards Ceremony, a first half, intermission, and second half with a Finale number. If you are a Fifth, Tenth, or Fifteenth Year Award student, you will receive your award at the show you perform your class number or solo in. We will have just one program book but it will have two show line-ups. Students will know which show they are in by April.
RECITAL COSTUME FEES: ½ is due by December 15th and remaining balance due by January 15th.
Please no FOOD OR DRINK in the studio. Please PARK only in designated spaces!
